Bob Barker (1923-2023)
The host of The Price is Right from 1972 to 2017 was remembered by his replacement Drew Carey, among other celebrity friends like Adam Sandler—who he battled with on the golf course in Happy Gilmore. Bob Barker was also known for his animal rights activism: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals named a building after him.

Get puzzling on your phone
A recent British university study determined that older adults playing strategy video games didn’t show an improvement in memory and concentration, but puzzles were a help. While prior researchers thought reacting quickly and keeping track of targets had a positive impact on people over 60, problem-solving appears to be more useful.

A star telling it like it is
“I’ve always had issues with the fact that men kind of age like fine wines and women like cut flowers,” the 48-year-old recently told Allure. “I despise that concept and I want to fight against it, but I also think women want to age in a way that feels right to them. I think we need to be a little bit more empathetic to how we all go through our journey. My journey of having to see my face on a billboard is quite funny now.”
