Too much of a good thing
After kicking off summer with a Sports Illustrated cover that got people talking, the 82-year-old lifestyle guru has a few thoughts to share amidst promoting iced coffee for Dunkin’ Donuts. Martha Stewart revealed that she has conversations with her pet peacocks, how she’s pondering another thirst trap, and offers updated etiquette tips.

The share of over-65 Americans who have used marijuana went from 11% in 2009 to 32% in 2019. On this day in your history…
1958: George Harrison, a 15-year-old from Liverpool, joins a band that was then called the Quarrymen
1958: Michael Jackson born in Gary, Indiana
1997: Netflix founded by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph as a new way to rent DVDs through the mail
2005: New Orleans hit by Hurricane Katrina
2008: John McCain officially selects Sarah Palin as the first female Republican vice-presidential candidate
A different kind of sunshine state
The pitch for retiring in the United Arab Emirates cites the emphasis on safety and security, a growing expat community, and a lifestyle that includes year-round beach days, safaris and rounds of golf. And while residences come at different price points, one 27,000-foot penthouse recently sold for $115 million—and it hasn’t been built yet.
We’ll have more on Wednesday
